When you book Torvale Lodge you can look forward to six well-appointed bedrooms (one en suite), each with its own smart TV, a family bathroom with a shower, plus two further shower rooms and a separate WC, plenty to avoid any queues in the mornings or evenings.

Make the most of the outside space here at Torvale Lodge with beautifully-maintained patio areas (front and back) and plenty of space for the whole family to unwind. Enjoy that fresh country air whatever the weather by reclining in the covered snug/deck area (which includes the 6-person hot tub) and sizzling up a feast for the whole family in the outdoor kitchen area (complete with drinks fridge, log burner and darts board).

Living Room

The living room at Torvale Lodge is a spacious area where you can all unwind and enjoy each other’s company after a day exploring the coves and villages of South Devon. This beautifully-presented dual aspect space boasts a wall-mounted 65-inch smart TV (complete with Netflix of course), two large reclining sofas with built-in USB ports, a box of toys and board games to entertain little ones, and a Playstation 5 (plus games and headsets) for those who enjoy some gaming action. For those who prefer their gaming a little more “old school”, there’s also a Space Invaders arcade-style game for added nostalgia! When the weather is fine, push open the double doors and invite the outside in; the living room has an enclosed patio seating area so you can extend the living space and unwind in the golden Devon sunshine.

Dining

The expansive sociable kitchen/diner at Torvale Lodge has ample room for the whole family to unwind and enjoy some delicious local Devonshire fare. Budding chefs will relish setting to work in the well-equipped kitchen which comes with two large range cookers, a microwave, two dishwashers and plenty of storage space across six larders and six fridge/freezers. The kitchen diner is designed to make your self-catering holiday as relaxing as possible. With ample storage and all the little touches you’d expect from a luxury self-catering holiday home such as smart TV, guitar and football table, you’ll be able to sink into holiday mode in no time. A bright and modern space where friends and family can gather and share the cooking before then sitting down to enjoy the fruits of their labour at the dining table.
It’s also a place where individuals or colleagues can just take care of their own mealtime needs. There’s also a 55-inch smart TV in here, so you needn’t miss out

Sleeping

With crisp cotton linen and memory foam beds which will lull you into a blissful deep night’s sleep, the bedrooms at Torvale Lodge are all beautifully-appointed and well thought out. All bedrooms have digital entry, and each has a double bed with under bed storage, USB charging ports, 32inch flat screen smart TV with built-in DVD player and spacious built-in wardrobes. Bedroom One has an adult bunk bed (a small double base and a single top) , whilst bedroom two has two single beds which can also be configured to be a king-size double if preferred (please just ask on booking). Bedroom three benefits from an en suite so be sure to pull straws cleverly if you want to benefit from the adjoining shower room. All six bedrooms invite guests to truly relax, unwind and catch up on that much-needed deep restorative sleep they crave.

Bathing

Avoid queues for the bathroom in the mornings with a choice of the modern, well-equipped family bathroom (with shower), plus two additional shower rooms and a separate WC (this is all in addition to the en suite shower room which adjoins room three). Each bathing space is furnished with fluffy towels, bluetooth speakers and heated towel rails to ensure that washing off sandy toes after a day at the beach has never felt so luxurious…

Outside Living

Accessed by an illuminated private driveway, Torvale Lodge benefits from private use of an all-weather snug/deck area complete with six-person hot tub. The south-facing enclosed outdoor kitchen area comes complete with BBQ griddle along with a fridge for your drinks, this area is perfect no matter what the weather as the crackling log burner will make even the coldest evening cosy. There are also spacious patio areas at the front and back of the lodge with seating areas so you can enjoy al fresco dining as the sun sets. The fully enclosed grounds are great for dogs and fully maintained by a friendly groundsman, whilst also covered by CCTV (in outside communal areas) for security and your peace of mind.

Crazy Golf

Kids (of all ages) will love the custom-built Pirates Cove Crazy Golf Course which comes complete with clubs, balls, scorecards, and big grins guaranteed! The golf course is shared with other guests staying at the other Torvale Luxury properties, but you can choose to play morning, noon and night because it is also fully illuminated (until 9.30pm), making a great photo opportunity to show your family and friends. Conquer obstacles, master those tricky shots and challenge the whole family to a tournament lasting the whole week - our mini golf course inspires heart-warming good old fashioned family fun which will create long-lasting memories for all.

Torvale Lodge boasts widescreen smart TVs with built-in DVD players and Netflix, a PS5 with a selection of games and wireless headsets, unlimited access to super fast 100/100 fibre optic broadband, Bluetooth speakers, Alexa, dishwashers, gas BBQs and everything you need for an easy, relaxing stay. Torvale Lodge benefits from digital-entry door systems and pop-up charging ports too. We also have CCTV installed in the outdoor communal areas to ensure that you and your belongings can feel safe and secure, even when you’re out and about for the day.

Free Private Parking

We have a spacious purpose-built parking bay which has ample space for multiple vehicles - there’s even extra space for visitors coming to say hello for the day. The expansive driveway and parking area is also covered by CCTV for ultimate security and peace of mind. If you need an electric vehicle charging point there is one just a few hundred yards away at the village petrol station.

What a gorgeous and incredibly thought out getaway it is. Everything was perfect for our family weekend! We really enjoyed the hot tub and bbq space, and the three kiddos enjoyed the mini golf, all the cool toys in the lounge, and the BIG TV!
